Conseguimos, con mucho, mucho esfuerzo y dedicación una entrevista en exclusiva con Amy!!!
1.- EA: Los fans han estado un buen tiempo alejados de tus canciones y tus conciertos, ahora están haciendo un nuevo álbum y vendrán a Brasil. Los fans brasileros quedaron muy sorprendidos, ya están acampando esperando el día del concierto, aun sabiendo que no tocaran canciones nuevas. Por lo tanto… ¿Por qué eligieron hacer un concierto en Brasil? y ¿Cuáles son sus expectativas?
Amy: El que nos hayan preguntado para titular una noche en un festival tan grande, es una rara oportunidad, especialmente desde que hemos estado fuera del ojo del público por un tiempo. Las cosas han ido tan bien con la escritura de la nueva música que de hecho me he adelantado al calendario que me había hecho para mi misma, y además, no hemos tocado por tanto tiempo, simplemente sonó a mucha diversión. Siempre recordamos la intensidad y pasión de nuestros fans en South-América, y solo eso ya es un gran incentivo para tocar allí.
2.- EA: Volviendo al 2006, cuando lanzaron The Open Door, dijiste en una entrevista que los fans deberían escuchar el álbum solos, en un lugar silencioso, en la oscuridad. ¿Cómo crees que los fans deberían escuchar el nuevo disco que están haciendo?
Amy: Yo creo que esa es la mejor manera de escuchar cualquier CD, o en el auto. Cualquier lugar donde puedas explotar y sentirte totalmente consumido por la música. Me gusta escuchar música en la oscuridad porque no hay nada que me distraiga y puedo apreciar cada parte de cada canción.
3.- EA: Es muy fácil ver demostraciones de amor de parte de los fans al rededor de todo el mundo. Fansites, Fans usando remeras de Evanescence, haciéndose tatuajes de la banda..., ¿Que ha hecho un fan que te haya sorprendido mas? y ¿Cómo esas demostraciones de amor interfieren en tu vida y en tu música?
Amy: La creatividad de algunos fans nunca deja de maravillarme. Una vez recibimos un reloj de Evanescence hecho a mano con la forma de una guitarra. Otra vez recibimos una manta de retazos con un montón de diferentes fotos de nosotros en ella. Un fan de Brasil hizo uno de mis favoritos. Un “Claymation DVD” integrado por los miembros de la banda como personajes principales en un pequeño film. Siempre es muy alentador cuando la gente muestra su amor y apoyo, que disfrutan de la música que has hecho y quieren que la sigas haciendo. Definitivamente nos da un impulso extra de confianza en el escenario.

1.- EA: The fans have stayed a long while away from your songs and from your concerts, now you’re making a new album and you’re coming to Brazil. The Brazilian fans were very surprised, but they’re already camping and waiting for the concert despite knowing you aren’t going to play any new songs. So… Why choose to make a concert in Brazil? What are yours expectations?
Amy: Being asked to headline a night at such a large festival is a rare opportunity, especially since we've been out of the public eye for awhile. Things have been going so well with the new music writing that I was actually ahead of the schedule I made for myself, and besides that we haven't played in so long, it just sounded like a lot of fun. We always remember the intensity and passion of our fans in South America , and that alone is a great incentive to play there

Its always encouraging when people show their love and support, that they enjoy the music you've made and want you to keep making it. It definitely gives us an extra boost of confidence on stage.
